Referred to as Radio Royalty Shaila's charm and strong belief in God has taken her through a long and prosperous road in radio. She was born to proud Belizean parents in NYC. Harlem raised this Mom of 3, she attended elementary schools in Harlem, Martin Luther King Jr.  High School pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority & graduated from The State University College at Buffalo with a B.A. in Broadcasting. Shaila immediately began her professional career in Broadcasting before graduating, as an On Air Personality at WBLK where she was seasoned for 4 years, followed by a 6 year stay at WBLS Radio in NY, After a total of 10 years in professional radio Shaila joined the KISS FM family in 1994 and returned to WBLS after the legendary Kiss radio station
