Referred to as “Radio Royalty”, Shaila's charm and strong belief in God has taken her through a long and prosperous road in radio. Throughout her 30 years in the radio industry, her voice has been featured on a variety of time slots. But, she won the hearts of many as the first female host of “Kissing After Dark” , then as the female co-host of the “The Kiss Wake Up Club” & now as “New York Sweetheart” heard weekdays 10am-3pm on 107.5 WBLS .

A woman of great character and substance, this former “Teen New York City” has been hailed by a consortium of organizations in the tri-state area as one of the most respected & positive influences in New York Radio. In 1997, she was listed as “One of the Outstanding Women in Radio”,  “One of the Top Five Radio Diva's in New York Radio”, and “One of the “Top 30 Radio Personalities in the Country”. As one of the SUNY 40 Outstanding  Alumni, she received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from SUNY College at Buffalo, had a day named in her honor May 3, 2007 by the Mayor of Buffalo and received an invitation to the White House by the Obamas in 2009. She has been featured in countless magazine and newspaper articles and is a contributor to “Today’s Child” Magazine writing an article named after her radio feature “Mommy Moments”. 

 Born to proud Belizean parents, Harlem raised, this mom of 3, attended elementary schools in Harlem, Martin Luther King Jr.  High School pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority & graduated from The State University College at Buffalo with a B.A. in Broadcasting.
